Northeastern Nonwovens has the ability to "layer" different fiber needlepunch webs as well as scrims, foams, woven fabrics and other nonwoven materials. The composite layers allow Northeastern Nonwovens to build needlepunch fabrics that can have different properties and characteristics from one surface versus the other.
These fabrics can be used as an “internal flow media”, meaning it is integral to the laminate, and does not require any external media such as shade cloth or other highly porous media to be applied for processing. These external media layers are typically removed after processing and thrown away, creating high cost, while the PP fabric does contribute to the laminate thickness and stiffness.
